Listowel Ford is excited to announce that the Limited Edition Mustang Bullitt will be making its way to our dealership sometime soon! Ford has begun to allocate units to dealerships, and we are happy to let you know that we will be seeing one sometime soon!

The 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt came just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Steve McQueen movie, Bullitt, which made the menacing green machine so famous! Pretty much everything McQueen touched turned to gold, and the Highland Green 1968 Mustang GT fastback (and it's reincarnations!) are no exception.

The Bullitt is a unique piece of automotive history, being one of two identical Mustang Fastbacks in the 1968 film. After filming of Bullitt wrapped, the two Mustangs were separated. One was found last year in Baja California, Mexico, decades after it was believed to have been crushed. The other car was sold to an unknown private buyer, and so its whereabouts were unknown for many years. Revelers at this year's Detroit Auto Show were stunned when the missing Bullitt was unveiled alongside the 2019 Bullitt.

Just like its predecessors, the 2019 Bullitt is classic cool, with a sleek understated design that still carries a hefty punch. Devoid of exterior badging (aside from one) and flashy features, this special edition Mustang doesn't need to try hard to pack a punch!

Equipped with a 5.0 L V8 engine and manual transmission, the Bullitt outputs up to 480 HP and 420 LB-FT of torque, making for a fun and super-fast ride. It reaches a top speed of 262 kilometers per hour (163 miles per hour). This is an 8 MPH increase versus the latest Mustang GT, driven by added features like the performance open air intake, Mustang Shelby GT350 intake manifold, larger 87-millimeter throttle body and unique powertrain control module combinations which allow the new Mustang Bullitt to deliver even more power. It essentially offers all the elements of Mustang Performance 1, plus a few additional performance features that set it apart!

The Bullitt is available in classic Highland Green, as well as black, with chrome accents. Red Brembo brakes and 19" classic torque-thrust aluminum wheels accent the exterior. It is equipped with black NitroPlate exhaust tips that give it that signature growl that we all love.

Taking a look at the inside, the first feature you'll notice is the classic white cue ball shift knob, which pays homage to the original Bullitt. A heated leather steering wheel and 12" all digital LCD instrument cluster come standard in both the Canadian and American models. The Canadian Bullitt comes standard with navigation and other safety features, as well as Magneride - Ford's semi-active suspension system. Recaro black leather trim seats, with unique green accent stitching on the dashboard, door panels, center console, and seats are also available.

The first Mustang Bullitt reincarnation was released in 2001. It boasted 265 HP, which was no small feat at the time, offering improved power and handling versus the GT of that day. It was resurrected once again in 2008, and 2009, the final batch being powered by a 4.6L 3 valve V8. The 2019 Bullitt is a long-awaited homage to Mustang history, and it's sure to impress!
